The Heart’s Season: Winter

My heart was freezing, your beauty heated it.

I saw you and thought, my what love it could have been.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have ran on ice, as I fell.

But if for you, I’d freeze the ground myself all over.

Those eyes, I could have stared into them so long.

Those lips, how I yearned for my own to kiss.

A heavy heart found some peace. Thank you.

You then moved me past autumn. Thank you.

Bonds that last are special.

Prayed that I may have formed one with you.

Oh how I wished you would have picked me.

This cold world would’ve bowed to our love.

Forever locked in the past, but a memory now.
